Our Programmes

Our Approach

At Sara Petesa A’oga Amata, we are proud to offer a range of carefully designed programmes that cater to the different age groups and developmental stages of our children. Each of our two buildings is dedicated to a specific age group, allowing us to create an optimal learning environment for each child.

Activities

We provide a wide variety of activities to stimulate our children’s growth in all areas – intellectually, physically, emotionally, and socially. Our curriculum offers diverse corners for exploration, recognizing that children possess boundless imagination that should be nurtured. From art and craft to sensory play, story time to outdoor adventures, each activity is designed to engage, inspire, and aid our children in their developmental journey.

Outdoor Play

Understanding the importance of fresh air and physical exercise, our programmes incorporate regular outdoor play. This not only helps build their physical strength but also encourages them to connect with nature and learn about the world around them.

Group Time

To foster sociability and interaction, our children participate in group time activities. These allow them to build responsive and reciprocal relationships, enhancing their communication skills, cooperation, and understanding of shared experiences.

Literacy

Language is central to our curriculum. We strive to immerse our children in language-rich environments to stimulate their literacy development. This exposure to language sparks their creative and abstract thinking, leading to improved communication skills and self-confidence.

Sand and Water Play

Through sand and water play, children explore their senses, gaining a deeper understanding of textures and temperatures. It also offers opportunities to learn basic concepts in maths and science in a fun and engaging way.

Graduation

A significant milestone in our children’s learning journey, the graduation ceremony held for children reaching five years old marks their readiness for the next stage of education. This important event recognizes each child’s progress and achievements during their time with us.

Belief and Culture

At Sara Petesa A’oga Amata, we uphold our Christian beliefs and Samoan cultural values. This ethos guides us in nurturing confident, competent, and morally upright children. Our daily routines are punctuated with friendly-religious discussions and activities that further reinforce our values and belief system.

At the heart of our programming is the desire to foster the holistic development of each child. Our aim is to ensure that all children feel loved, valued, and empowered to learn and grow.
